    1. C.D Breadner is a self published author Her first novel, Sin Eater, was the beginning of The Sin Eater series and she looks to branch into other genres since there are many kinds of creative juices flowing through her Recently she was christened a contributing author to The Freak Circle a collective of amazing and supportive writers This led her to launch the Red Rebels MC Series which is now two books long and growing She lives in a cozy home in the woods with her wonderful husband and two German Shepherds.

    2. DNF @ 22%I just plain don't want to continue with this. The "heroine" is a train wreck. And just not the kind I want to read about, honestly. Yes, she is "going through stuff" and has some legit problems we all can probably relate to in one way or another, butankly?I know, I knowSo cold. So heartless. So bored. Honestly though, the heroine reminded me of this:Just add a joint and some pain killers. And last, but not least for me, at 22% in, the "hero" has reversed cow-girled his way through two [...]

    3. 5 "Always light each other up" StarsIndulge stands as my first C.D. Breadner novel. Irene and I decided to take a trip around the world of The Freak Circle Press authors and we started with the Red Rebels MC out of Markham, CA. Breadner wrote a very strong story to start this series. These characters crawled into mind, staying there for the duration. Real life cut into my reading but never deterred me from casually thinking about Breadner's characters, Gertie & Buck, wondering where this aut [...]

    4. I really really really enjoyed this one! At this point I am convinced the authors of FCP can't write a bad book! I love how their stories are so honest and real and their characters seem to own their flaws. NOTE: I recommend you read INDULGE & EXPOSE back to back to get a complete picture of this relationship.Full review to follow but I am so happy TeriLyn and I have finally took the plunge! To get your copy: US UK CA

    5. C.D. Breadner is a friend and fellow member of the Freak Circle Press. As other reviews have said, Indulge is first and foremost Gertie’s story. And Gertie is a mess. The poor girl spirals totally out of control and hits a grimy, debasing, literally torturous bottom before she’s ready to climb back out into the sunshine. Breadner takes us vividly down with her, and then brings us back up again.Gertie is deeply flawed, and she caves in to weakness, but that is not to say that she is weak. At h [...]

    6. My rating: 4.5Indulge carries the reader on the journey Gertie and Buck travel as their relationship and love progresses. Gertie is middle 30’s, upper class, divorced, has an alcoholic mother, a daddy’s girl but daddy is a criminal on the run from illegal hedge fund scams. Her family could be the poster for the term “dysfunctional.” Buck is your typical bad ass Sargent at Arms for the Rebels MC. But he has a softer side to him and is confident in himself. The story centers around Gertie [...]

    7. Indulge is emotionally spine tingling with a heavy dose of truth. With how it ended makes a reader wonder if there will be a sequel. I sincerely hope there will, as there are too many unresolved issues. C.D. Breadner did a fantastic job showing the darker, less glamorous world of MC biker clubs. She didn't romanticize which is often portrayed, instead you got to read the gritty behind the scene ugliness. So is this worthy of a five star read? Nos worth ten, that's in my humblest opinion! Damn su [...]

    8. BikersMobDrugsAddictionsLiesSecretsSexRapeBeatingsFightingDeathBetrayalDysfunctional FamiliesClub WhoresLots of DrinkingShootingsJealousyFall OutsConsequencesHeartbreak. This book has it all.Gertie, a divorced, 30-year-old, from a wealthy family, and boring homebody, is on a downward spiral. She meets Maggie and has an early mid-life crisis. Until she meets Buck. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to Buck, he becomes Gertie's game changer. Buck is a little older than Gertie and part of an MC. He's a mec [...]

    9. I was given an ARC, under the working title of "Gertie". While "Indulge" is a very fitting name for this book in many ways, it truly is a story about Gertie.Having never read an MC novel, not even really knowing that it was a defined genre, I began what I thought would be an easy beach read while on holidays. I soon discovered this novel is so much more complex and involved than my expectations. It taxed my emotions, and brought me to tears. At one point, I had to stop for three stiff drinks bef [...]

    10. 4.5 I'm not at all surprised that another wonderful story comes out of The Freak Circle Press Authors. This is my first book by this particular author and although it was a bit slow for me in the beginning it held my interest and picked up quickly. The writing style of using the present and past day to bring the story together is becoming a favorite of mine. I really enjoyed where she took the MC relationship. I was gasping and shaking my head no!! when Gertie found herself in some horrific situ [...]

    11. To quote a friend of mine: BikersMobDrugsAddictionsLiesSecretsSexRapeBeatingsFightingDeathBetrayalDysfunctional FamiliesClub WhoresLots of DrinkingShootingsJealousyFall OutsConsequencesHeartbreak. This book has it all.It started out really awesome. I was sucked in and couldn't put it down. But somewhere along the line, the drugs started playing a bigger part of the story and that bugged me. I'm not into drugs, never have beend they're not my preferred thing to read about. But as they took over G [...]

    12. I have to be honest and state that getting used to the name 'Gertie' wasn't easy. It's just not a sexy name! Once I got into the story (told between present-time and the past which led up to what is now happening); I got used to the name and actually came to understand the woman with such an old fashioned name. Anyway; Gertie comes from a past which fed-into her deep-seated sense of being unlovable. She masks her feelings with booze, and recreational drugs. She's not smart about it but it's her [...]

    13. This truly is the story of Gertrude 'Gertie' Denise. 'Gertie' a thirty year old educated, wealthy middle class woman, who whilst still dealing with the emotions left over by her broken marriage and sudden death of her alcoholic mother, becomes involved with David 'Buck' Buckingham, the Sergeant at Arms for the Red Rebels MC.For the majority of this story the workings of the MC club and Gertie's initial relationship to the club are secondary to the intense focus of Gertie's journey, Gertie makes [...]

    14. This book I could not put down!!!It's NOT your average MC story. It has all the things you want in one, but alot more under it.It is not a book you can walk away from it has love, romance, friendship, sex,(amazing need new panties sex) violence, rape, heartache, crime all in well thought out and believable plot yes. But more then that there is story of a womans deconstructive evolution Gertie the main character the MC world is a stage in which her story is told and it really well done. She destr [...]

    15. Yes!!!!This book made me happy to read MC books again. REAL MC books where things are dark and gritty. I read a review from one of my trusted friends, and she said to immediately read the second book in this series because it all builds on each other and continues on. That is what I am going to do because this book definitely leaves the door open for more about Gertie and Buck. This book was so good and entertaining that I HAVE to continue on with this series. This is not the soft, gushy, biker [...]

    16. CD Breadner thought I wouldn't read this completely well, are you surprised now?Much like her other works, I am not a fan of this genre, but she manages to draw you in and appreciate the story and characters. Most of the book is spent getting to know Gertie and Buck, and how they relate to each other and the rest of the Rebels. Once the plot ramps up near the end and begins tying together the time jumps, your are engrossed in the action, worried for not only the safety of the characters, but of [...]

    17. I want more of this MCThis book had a lot more depth to it than your average MC novel and I really liked that about it. Went from past to the present every few chapters which made it a little hard to follow but not enough to detract from story. My greatest wish was that there was just a bit more at end after being so in depth and covering every aspect of past and present i kind of felt jipped on the futurewanted to see them back together in all ways. Maybe a second book will have that but at thi [...]

    18. 3.5+ starsA good value story with alternating POV that flow between the past and present. The alternating POV I had no problem with but reading between the past and present I did. Gertie is in a self proclaimed early midlife crisis which spins out of control . Her actions are out of step with the person she is and her true self seems to be her moral compass when she needs it. She ends up self medicating and pays the price for this option. There is enough sweet mixed into the turmoil to balance t [...]

    19. This was a tough read for me. I had to take a bit of break and came back to the story. The jumping and forth in the timeline was a bit frustrating. Gertrude is an older woman who is totally confused caused by her life but also substance abuse. Buck is a member of MC who likes crazy women. What is he afraid of? That question was never answered.

    20. Enjoyed reading new MC from a new (to me) author. Typical MC topics -- sex, drugs, alcohol and violence. My only issue was the back and forth timeframes from when the H and h met to the now. Wasn't a cliffy, does have a HEA but IMO would've liked to see things tied up more neatly, though understandable lead on to more books in the series.

    21. This book was equally good and bad, I know a bit strange but that's what I was thinking the entire way through the book.It had some really great bits and then it would get REALLY boring then a semi good bit then BORING. So I am at odds on how to review this one as the overall story was good but getting the whole story read was not so good.

    22. DNF, not sure at what point exactly but I just couldn't keep reading it. Nothing bad about ti but I guess this author's writing does not fit me.

    23. The book "Indulge" from the series "Red Rebels MC books" by M.C. Breadner was my first book by this author. The author definitely can write. There was action, suspense and a good plot. The characters had depths. Albeit the heroine was a real train wreck waiting to crash.I am a little bit torn about this book. What I definitely didn't like was the writing style. The constant switch between past and presence, didn't do this story any good, in my opinion. If it would have fused together at 50% of th [...]

    24. 4 "I don't know what you were thinking, what was in your head." stars! This is the fourth author I've read from the FCP group, and I'm beginning to think this group is my "go-to" when I need a biker fix. Sure, I think Joanna Wylde and Madeline Sheehan are no slouches in the MC romance genre, but having been more than pleased with biker series from Susan Fanetti, Elayne DiSano, Lina Andersson, and now C.D. Breadner, I must rejoice at finding good reads from writers who make me believe their charac [...]

    25. MEH.You can tell Gertie is struggling a bit with how her life has turned out pretty much from the start of the book, acting younger then she is, doing things she normally wouldn't and taking stuff she shouldn't! Naughty. Think she is having a slight early mid-life crisis.Wasn't feeling much from Buck, couldn't completely work out what he was thinking. Just wasn't feeling him at all. This novel does get a bit too much into the drug side of thing for my liking, I don't find the dealings of things l [...]

    26. Warningry intense, gritty, and emotional. I finished this earlier today and have had to think about this review before posting. David "Buck" Buckingham belongs to the Red Rebels, Gertie is a woman with a career and a social life going no where. That is until she meets Maggie and the story starts. The book felt very real, I connected with the characters early on and it was frustrating at times because the author keeps flipping from present to back in time. I would skim some parts to find out what [...]

    27. DNF before 25%, so no rating. Don't like when a book hops back and forward between the past and the present, and the h annoyed me very early on with her immaturity.
